PROJECT OPTIONS Hardware Drawer Slide Drawer Slides Metabox and Metabox Soft Close Metabox slides are an affordable and extremely durable product from Blum. There is an optional piece of hardware that makes them soft close. The drawer bottom and back material is 16mm (5/8″) thick white melamine, for a rigid drawer that will not flex. Movento Movento slides are a concealed undermount soft close product from Blum. They provide superior adjustment, smooth glide, and soft close system. Additionally, it comes fitted with a custom sized five piece drawer box, colour selections available, all of which are 16mm (5/8″) thick and doweled together. This provides an elegant, strong, functional drawer system. Merivobox Merivobox is a European style double wall steel soft close drawer system from Blum. The style sets this product apart, while maintaining all of the great functionality of Blum’s industry proven Movento slides. The drawer bottom and back material is 16mm (5/8″) thick white melamine, for a rigid drawer that will not flex. No Drawers Choosing this option will turn off all drawer material, hardware, related machining on cabinets, and remove the cost. This allows you to make or supply your own preferred drawer boxes and hardware, while still getting the faces from Cabinet Solutions. Metabox Metabox Soft Close Movento Merivobox No Drawers Hinge Type Hinge Types Non Soft Close This is a Blum hinge that provides great adjustability and durability. It is easy to remove and attach the hinges to the cabinet and are built to last. The terminology for these hinges is “Self-Closing”, which means when the door is close to shut, they will pull it shut all the way, and provide a small amount of resistance to ensure your doors do not open until you pull on them. Soft Close This is a Blum hinge that provides great adjustability and durability. It is easy to remove and attach the hinges to the cabinet and are built to last. The terminology for these hinges is “Soft-Closing”, which means when the door is close to shut, they will pull it shut all the way, while slowing down and softly closing, and provide a small amount of resistance to ensure your doors do not open until you pull on them. Non Soft Close Soft Close Handle Drill Pattern Handle Drill Pattern No Drilling “No Drilling” will ensure that there are no handles drilled on anything. This is generally recommended, as there are so many personal preferences of size of handles, location from bottom/top and from the side of doors, etc. (xx)mm The number chosen for handle drill pattern is the millimeter distance from the center of handle screw hole to the other. So a 96mm drill pattern means the screw holes are 96mm apart. We will add more drill pattern sizes in the future once we program the handles to automatically not drill on cabinets where the drill pattern you select is too large for the face of the cabinet. Drilling Offsets If you select a drilling pattern for your cabinet faces, here are the measurement offsets from the edges for each door type: Drawer Faces All handles on drawer faces are center both in the height and the width of the drawer front. Slab Front Offsets Handles on Slab doors are offset from the side of the door 45mm. On bases, the handles are offset from the top of the door to the center of the top handle hole 80mm. On uppers, the handles are offset from the bottom of the door to the center of the bottom handle hole 80mm. On talls, the center of the top handle hole is 1000mm from the bottom of the door. On complex cabinets, depending on how they are set up, the handle holes may vary. Each cabinet has the option to turn off handle drilling individually, even if you set your project to drill them. Thermofoil and Five Piece Offsets Handles on Thermofoil and Five Piece doors are offset from the side half of the stile width. The stile width may vary per door selection, so an exact millimeter measurement can’t be given. On bases, the handles are offset from the top of the door to the center of the top handle hole 80mm. On uppers, the handles are offset from the bottom of the door to the center of the bottom handle hole 80mm. On talls, the center of the top handle hole is 1000mm from the bottom of the door. On complex cabinets, depending on how they are set up, the handle holes may vary. Each cabinet has the option to turn off handle drilling individually, even if you set your project to drill them. Style Door Type Door Types Slab Melamine cabinet doors offer a durable, stylish, and cost-effective cabinetry solution. These doors are made by coating a particle board or MDF core with a tough melamine resin, resulting in a hard-wearing finish. Particularly popular are the slab door styles, which feature a flat, seamless surface that emphasizes a clean, contemporary look. Melamine stands out for its affordability, providing a high-quality appearance and resilience at a lower cost. This makes melamine an attractive option for those seeking a modern aesthetic, ensuring both functionality and style. Five Piece A 5-piece melamine cabinet door combines durability with classic style, featuring a center panel surrounded by a four-piece frame. This structure emulates traditional paneled doors while offering melamine’s benefits, such as low maintenance, and scratch resistance. As it is made from composite materials, it does not suffer from the common issues that affect solid wood doors, such as expansion and contraction, and warping. Thermofoil Thermofoil cabinet doors are well known for their durability, ease of maintenance, and timeless look. Made by bonding a vinyl film over a medium-density fiberboard (MDF) core using heat and pressure, these doors offer a seamless finish that is resistant to moisture and stains. No Doors Choosing this option will remove the doors and drawer fronts from this order, as well as the pricing for them. This is available as a way for you to order all the cabinets you need, configured normally, while allowing you to supply and install your own fronts for all the cabinets. By default, the “Slab Colour” selection below still determines the material for all accessory parts, “Finished Interior” cabinets, and the colour of edge banding that will be applied to the front edges of the cabinet carcasses. If you have a specific edge band colour you want on the front of the carcasses, please write a note depicting your needs on the checkout page. This may incur a small charge for ordering specific colour edge banding if it is not in our specified selection. Prefinished Plywood White Black Country Maple White Black Country Maple Prefinished Plywood Carcass Board Colour Carcass Board Colour This is the colour for the carcass material, including shelves, dividers, backs, gables, stretchers, top/bottoms. On select products, there is a “Finished Interior” option. That will change all of these parts on those products to the exterior colour selected. Exterior colour is determined by your door colour selection.
